Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB) owes its origin to a “Social Contract” between the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Jesuit Society in 1987. It is acknowledged internationally as a world-class business school which provides quality management programmes and develops futuristic managers with strong ethics and values. XIMB not only imparts management education but also implements socio-economic development projects in collaboration with international agencies and the Government.

The
institute
creates

The Management of the Institute is in the hands of a Board of Governors, consisting of representatives of the Jesuit Society, Government of India, Government of Odisha, and eminent industrialists and educationists.
The Xavier City campus is located on 35 acres of land, surrounded by natural beauty and it is a digitalized campus with Wi-Fi and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. This campus is at Kurki-Najigarh under Pipli Tahsil, situated at a distance of 20 km from our existing campus (12 km from the Bhubaneswar BijuPatnaik International Airport). It was inaugurated on 7th July 2014 by Shri Naveen Patnaik, the honourable Chief Minister of Odisha. The first year students of MBA-RM, MBA-HRM and two sections of MBA-BM reside on this Campus and attend the classes. The Xavier University Schools of Communication, Commerce and Sustainability Management offering various doctoral, graduate and undergraduate programmes are located on this campus. The Xavier City campus houses a Administrative Block and an Academic Block which includes a library, 8 Computer Halls, 21 class rooms,Faculty residence Block, residences for students – gents and ladies. The Campus has 2 volleyball courts, 2 floodlit basketball courts and 2 two floodlit tennis courts, 3 Badminton courts and a gymnasium.

The Class Room Complex includes air-conditioned lecture halls, seminar rooms, syndicate rooms, multi-media hall, computer labs and an executive classroom. The class rooms are equipped with educational audio/video equipment, tablet PCs, computers with large monitors, LCD projectors and network connections. While most classes are held in the lecture halls, some prefer the lawn adjacent to the classroom complex for education with the soulful touch of nature.

Xavier University is making rapid advancements to fulfil its vision of a true Digital University. The Computer Resource Centre (CRC) at XIMB campus and the Data Centre at Xavier City Campus are further extended with IT resources and latest technology with a thrust on security measures across the campuses.
Xavier City Campus provides the backbone support to the University’s academic activities, embracing digital technology to an extent very few of its peers have done. XIMB campus, added 300 Dell i7 Optiplex desktops for its students and has 600 Mbps leased line. XUB continues its learning content enhancement with Microsoft’s Imagine Academy, taking Xavier University deeper into the realms of a “Digital University”.
The University’s 24/7 WI-FI campus is upgraded with 810 Mbps leased lines and increased focus on data security measures. IT security was emphasized through implementing enhanced security features for the datacentres at both locations: establishment of local and remote DMZ zones and server migration, implementation of MAC Authentication Solutions for enhanced security of devices, deployment of Microsoft Campus licenses, Firewall policy and Group mail policy reformulation and Microsoft Exchange Server configured in the data centre for the smooth functioning of mails for faculty and staff.
Xavier School of Communication (XCOMM) houses a state-of-the-art professional audio and video studios, shooting floor, online TV production set-up, edit suites, graphic lab, digital photography studio and professional training in top high-end software used in the industry. Some of the salient features of the facilities include Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Creative Cloud with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver, InDesign and Maya, 3Dx Max, besides offering training in 4C+ and Quark XPress.
The Television Studio has equipment that is capable of producing HD quality audio visuals. To give the best training to the students XCOMM has got latest HD Data video recorders, 4K cameras, professional lights for studio and outdoor shoot, professional tripods, dollies, track and trolley, fog machine and many more. The audio is recorded by Presonus 16-input mixer. The studio floor has 6 boundary (condenser) microphones fitted onto the ceiling. The studio is fully equipped for live or online productions.
The Digital Still Photography lab is equipped with the latest strobe lights, backdrop kit and other lights required for indoor and outdoor digital photography, DSLR cameras with all the accessories including Canon 5D Mark II and Nikon D7000 and many more.
The audio studio uses 24-input professional Presonus mixer with Studio One Pro software. It uses the award winning Sceptre monitors. The studio has Electronic Drums, Midi-Keyboard, tabla and other musical equipment for recording. The Studio has high quality Blue and Orange condenser microphones, Baerdynamic and Shure microphones besides seven drum kit microphones of Baerdynamics. The students are taught digital sound production through an intensive hands-on learning experience.
The Master Edit suites has the latest cylindrical Apple MacPro with Final Cut Pro with professional sound monitors. The graphic lab is used by students for imaging and graphic design and for real time film and video Editing. Workstations give students ample chances to practice what they learn in class rooms.
With academic activities round-the-clock, students are required to live on the campus. There are separate residences for gents and ladies. All the rooms have 24-hour Internet connectivity enabled via latest Wi-Fi technology. With the installation of laser printer and photocopying machines kiosk, round-the-clock printing and copying facilities are available to the students. The Residences also house the Multi-purpose Hall, Cooperative Store and a Book Club. All the Residences are equipped with washing machines/laundry services, water coolers, geysers, telephones, televisions, and indoor games like carom and table tennis. We also have facilities for uninterrupted power supply to all the Residences during power failure.

serves

vegetarian
and
non-vegetarian
meals.
The
X-Cafe
provides
a
variety
of
fast
food
to
the
students
who
work
till
late
in
the
night.

for

p.m.

7.00
p.m.
every
day
except
on
Sundays.

where

A
fulltime
nurse
is
engaged
to
help
the
residents
for
consulting
any

any
emergency.
The

campuses
are
made
secure
through
round-the-clock
security
guards
to
restrict
any
unauthorized
outsiders
accessing
the
premises.
XUB supports the overall development of individuals and prepares students for the corporate world by providing the best sports facilities. The fitness enthusiasts can experience body-mind balance by working out in the well-equipped gymnasium and jogging tracks. Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Football, Tennis, Table Tennis and Volleyball are the popular campus sports. Periodical sports events are organized by the sports committee to add relaxation for the physique as well as rejuvenate from intellectual fatigue. Besides sports events, the Student Executive Council (SEC) takes a wide array of initiatives related to cultural events and intellectual challenges.
